Landfill
Payson City owns and operates its own municipal landfill. The landfill is located at the western end of Utah Avenue, at the base of West Mountain, 6665 West 10400 South.

Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Closed Sunday.
October 1st - March 31st

The Payson City Landfill will be available at no charge for the cleanup
projects within the city limits. Please observe the following:
* Payson City will only accept discarded items that are collected from project within the boundaries of Payson.
* Landfill fees will only be waived for Payson residents.
* Photo ID required.
* Loads must be properly secured and covered to prevent the disposal of litter and debris on public and private property and to avoid penalties and fines.
* Hazardous waste, sealed containers of products, refrigerators and any kind of free liquid products will not be accepted.
Additional Fees will be assessed for all vehicles with unsecured loads.
$5.00 - Non-Commercial, Resident & Nonresident
$62.00 - Commercial
Prohibited Items:
The Payson City landfill cannot accept the following items:
- Household hazardous waste to include paint, oil, gasoline, cleaners, chemicals, etc.
- Refrigerator
- Batteries
- Freezers
- Liquids of any kind are not allowed
Visit the Utah County Health Department website, https://health.utahcounty.gov/hhw/, to find locations to dispose of household hazardous waste.
Payson City also operates a green waste compost facility at the landfill.
