Mission Statement

The mission of Payson Fire & Rescue is to protect the citizens of Payson from all emergencies both natural and man-made through dedicated, highly skilled and motivated firefighters, while acknowledging the publics support, trust, and confidence.

Vision Statement

Members of the Payson Fire & Rescue accomplish the mission statement through:

  • Efficient use of public funds
  • Effective life safety code enforcement
  • Ongoing and new training in all aspects of emergency response,
  • Use and maintenance of state of the art equipment, and
  • Continuous public education and community involvement,
  • By this, we enhance and improve the lives, property, and environment of those we serve.

We are scheduling sandbag events on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the old ball field parking lot located at 712 South 800 West and would ask for volunteers to help fill sandbags.  We will place the sandbags on pallets and have them moved to the most vulnerable areas of the city in preparation for potential flooding.
