Downtown Reconstruction Project

Aerial View of Downtown

Updated 04/10/2024 - Red Pine has demolished the parking lot behind The Getaway and ERA to get ready for asphalt. They are replacing a monster of a sewer manhole (check out the pic below) and installing conduit for underground power this week and next. They anticipate the parking lot will be paved on the 22nd. They have started work on Utah Avenue east of Main Street but will hold off on closing the west side until the parking lot is re-opened. Curb and gutter is being staked and we should start seeing concrete trucks next week. Work continues all the way to 300 South and they are getting ready to install another underground stormwater retention system in the old library corner field. It is very exciting to see it all start to take shape as the underground work is completed and the surface work begins. Thank you, all, for your patience and cooperation!
