City Manager Dave Tuckett

Welcome to the City Manager's office! 

The City Manager shall direct and supervise the administration of all departments, offices and agencies of the City.  The City Manager shall carry out the policies and programs established by the Governing Body.  The City Manager shall faithfully execute and enforce all applicable laws, ordinances, motions, policies, rules and regulations, and see that all franchises, leases, permits, contracts licenses, and privileges granted by the municipality are observed.

City Manager

Dave Tuckett is the City Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Payson City.   He works under the direction of the Mayor and City Council to ensure the public policy priorities adopted by the Mayor and City Council are implemented.  With 31 years of public sector experience, Dave has a deep understanding of what it takes to work with staff and community members to ensure City government works for the people.  Dave continually monitors customer service, programs, and service quality to ensure that programs and services are provided effectively and efficiently.  

Education and Service

Dave holds a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University.  Prior to being appointed as City Manager for Payson City, he served as the City Attorney.  He has served on and is a member of numerous boards and organizations in professional and volunteer capacities.  Dave is a member of the Utah City Managers Association.
